ABSTRACT: This research investigated the role of early childhood education in building trust and cooperation. The objectives were to: (1) evaluate the impact of cooperative learning activities on social skills, (2) assess the role of early education in fostering trust among peers, and (3) determine the effectiveness of collaborative activities in enhancing group dynamics. A survey design was employed to gather data from educators and parents about their observations of children's social interactions in early childhood settings. A sample size of 140 preschool educators and parents was selected using purposive sampling. The case study focused on early childhood education centers in Ekiti State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that cooperative learning activities significantly improved social skills and fostered trust among peers. Collaborative activities were found to be highly effective in enhancing group dynamics and promoting a positive learning environment. It was recommended that early childhood education programs incorporate cooperative learning activities and that educators be trained to facilitate trust-building and cooperative behaviors among young children.
